Get Moving
Just go out there and explore team sports at your school, community and more:
- Join a volleyball team through your school or a community club
- Join a basketball team at your school or community club, or participate at your local park and basketball clinic to improve your skills
- Join a soccer team: Regional leagues include Hawaii Youth Soccer Association (HYSA) and Hawaii Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO)
- Play ultimate frisbee through a pick-up game or league
- Learn how to sail
- If baseball is your thing, check out your school’s team or a community team
- Check out your school’s tennis team, or the US Tennis Association (USTA) for local youth leagues: Tennis is a team sport with an individual performance emphasis
- Try out for cheerleading at your school or through Pop Warner
- Police Activity League (PAL) offers basketball, baseball, volleyball, flag football, paddling, judo/karate, and wrestling
- Follow a local sport team: Attend your local school’s games, or follow college teams at UH, BYUH, or Chaminade University. Get information about games through the Oahu Interscholastic Association (OIA) and the Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH)
