- Get involved with recycling through Recycle Hawaii to protect our ‘aina
- Start a project or club to help protect the ocean, waves or beaches: Get involved with the Surfrider Foundation
- Take action on issues that impact our global health through Kahea, the Surfrider Foundation, and theHawaii Alliance for Progressive Action

Focus on recycling, keep improving, and have fun as you set and fulfill goals:
- Thinking of studying environmental studies in college? High school classes to help you prepare include: US Government & Politics, Human Geography, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology
- PaCES Summer Environmental Science Program at Windward Community College has a program for high school students interested in environmental and marine science
Get Involved
Great minds think alike. Connect and work with other people who like recycling as you reach your dream:
- Volunteer with Hawaii Youth Conservation Corps (HYCC): Volunteers at least 17 years old can gain experience, knowledge and skills with environmental agencies across Hawaii
- Join a beach cleanup
- Look for ways to support your community through Conservation Connections
- Join the Kokua Hawaii Foundation
